Bimetallic screw and barrel :

Bimetallic barrel means to melt bimetallic alloy about a layer in 3-8mm thickness inside of barrel. so that the barrel will be more wear-resistant,corrosion-resistant  and heat-resistant, the lifetime will be longer than nitriding one. It will give better performance to engineering plastic, fluorine plastic, PPO, and etc.

We used our own mixtured alloy powder to make bimetallic screw. For different purpose, we use different method of bimetallic spraying to make. We lead the production of tungsten carbide bimetallic barrel and screw in China. The tungsten carbide is contented on 35%. It is so better to produce some products  should content 50% fiber and rebuilt plastic materials, the liftetime of screw and barrel will be prolonged so much.


Purpose :

Bimetallic screw and barrel means to cast bimetallic powder by centrifugal rotating. It will be wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant heat-resistant and pressureresistant. Normally it used to produce glasses, transparent shell, transparent acrylic, nylon, PVC, PC, PPA PPO,PPS, PA6T,LCP ABS fire-resistant, pc + glass fiber,  nylon+glass fiber, magnet powder, ceramic powder aluminum powder, iron powder, electric injection moulding machines

RAW MATERIAL AND HARDENING REQUIREMENTS

Material:

38CrMoAIA (1.8509),42CrMo,41CrAlMo7;Stainless steel 316,316L,316Ti,9Cr18Mo,9Cr18MoV ,Hastelloy C276,C4, M2,SKD61, (H13) SKD11 (D2),K110, Inconel 625

Heat treatment method: Nitriding treatment,Surface hardness: HV≥900[HRC≥68].Nitriding depth: 0.6-0.8mm.

Surface coating treatment, Depth: 0.02-0.15mm.

High-frequency quenching treatment, overall hardening.Hardness(HRC): 55-65

Bimetallic screw and barrel series: Iron-based alloy(HT2TJ). Hardness(HRC) : 58-60 Nickel base alloy(HT6NJ).Hardness(HRC):53-56 lron-based alloy with tungsten, carbide(HT3W). Hardness(HRC):58-60 Nickel base alloy with tungsten carbide(HT5JW).Hardness(HRC):55-58 Superhard alloy(HT9TT).Hardness(HRC):62-65

PROCESSING

Nitride screw processing:Book material → Heat treatment(quenching and tempering) → Rough machining → Heat treatment(setting) → Finishing machining → Rough milling → Heat treatment(Nitride hardening) → Finishing milling → Inspection → Delivery.

Bimetallic screw processing:Book material → Heat treatment (quenching and tempering) → Rough machining → Heat treatment(setting) → Finishing machining → Flight spray and melt bimetallic alloy → Rough milling → Inspection → Heat treatment(Nitride hardening) → Finishing milling → Inspection → Delivery

Nitride barrel processing:Book material → Rough machining (inner diameter) → Heat treatment(quenching and tempering) → Finishing machining → Rough miling → Heat treatment (Nitride hardening) → Finishing milling → Inspection → Delivery.

Bimetallic barrel processing:Book material → Rough machining(inner diameter) → Bimetallic alloy casting(inner diameter) → Finishing machining → Finishing milling → Inspection → Delivery.
